Obituary: Wilson Cleon Gilley, December 19, 2010 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines May 2011 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - Dec 2010 GILLEY Wilson Cleon Gilley, 66, of Robert Lee passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Central Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Bronte. Cleon was a very loving, intelligent, and humorous man who will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. As a young man, Cleon attended Sam Houston State University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He was one of the first men in the state of Texas to pass all parts of the CPA exam on the first try. Cleon worked hard as an accountant, becoming partner at an accounting firm in Odessa, TX. But, it was at Webb & Webb in San Angelo, TX where he spent most of his career and found his "home". Those who worked with Cleon at Webb & Webb became like family to him. Cleon was a very devoted father, husband, son, and brother. He loved to fish and to spend time with family. He was always joking around and could bring laughter into any situation. It is this devotion, humor, intelligence, and love for all that will be missed so deeply. Cleon has gone on to share these wonderful traits with those that preceded him to heaven. Words cannot express the sorrow and pain that Cleon's family and friends feel with the loss of such an amazing person. It is only with the knowledge that he is no longer suffering and that he is finally home with his father that we are able to come to peace with his passing. Survivors include his wife, Pixie Kay Gilley of Robert Lee; mother Nola Ellen "Noella" Gilley of Dayton; daughter Taisa Lyn Gilley of Fort Worth; brother Wendell Gilley of Huntsville; sister Francis Crocker of Dayton; many nieces and nephews; and friends too numerous to count. *************************** Permission granted by The Observer/Enterprise for publication in the Coke County TXGenWeb and/or the Coke County Archives of the USGenWeb.
