Obituary: Nola Lee Ann Patterson Harmon, December 1, 2010 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines December 2010 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Robert Lee, Coke County, TX - Dec 10, 2010 HARMON Nola Lee Ann Patterson Harmon went home to her Lord on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at the Robert Lee Care Center. Visitation was all day Friday, December 3, 2010, at the funeral home with the family present from 5 pm to 7 pm. Funeral service was at 2 pm Saturday, December 4, 2010, at Robert Lee Baptist Church with burial following at Robert Lee Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home, Robert Lee. Nola was born October 4, 1917, in Coke County to Bob and Ninnie Patterson. She graduated from Robert Lee High School in 1936. That same year, she married Crowley Harmon and spent 55 wonderful years with him before his death on December 6, 1991. She was liked by all who knew her. She was a great cook and even in later years could be seen carrying goodies to her friends and neighbors. She was a wonderful mother to her sons and for a time worked outside the home as a cook at the former Robert Lee Hospital and as an employee at Bill Trimble’s laundry. She also did some housework for others. She was a lifelong follower of Christ and was a faithful member in attending Pecan Baptist Church and the Robert Lee Baptist Church. She was born again and baptized in July 1930. Nola was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and siblings, S.C., R.C., Herman, Clifford, Eddie Patterson and Illa Bell Compton. She is survived by sons, Jerrel (Lavelle), James (Blanche); sister, Zada Denman; grandchildren, Clint and Brint Harmon, Dana Woodfin, Sherry Copeland, and Lisa Fite. She was very proud of her grandchildren and her ten great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Robert Lee Care Center and Vista Care of San Angelo. They made this difficult journey much easier for all of us.
