Obituary: Nancy Lou Rinker Rasco, November 13, 2010 Contributed by Brenda Hines November 2010 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Robert Lee, Coke County, TX - November 19, 2010 RASCO Nancy Lou Rinker Rasco passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010, in Robert Lee, Texas. Visitation was all day Sunday, November 14, 2010, at the funeral home with the family present from 5 pm to 7 pm. Funeral service was at 10 am Monday, November 15, 2010, at Robert Lee Baptist Church with burial following in Robert Lee Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Nancy was born February 23, 1936, in Rotan, Texas to Casey and Nita Robertson Rinker. On November 29, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Wayne Rasco, in her family home in Roby, Texas. Nancy was a graduate of Roby High School. Nancy was employed by the ASCS office in Roby, was a child care provider in Robert Lee and retired from Coke County as the county librarian. She was a member of Robert Lee Baptist Church where she kept the records for the Nursery Department for many years. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of Robert Lee, daughters Karen and Kenda of Robert Lee, son Kirby of Brownwood, Texas, and special grandson, Cole Rasco of Bangs, Texas. She is also survived by sister Neva Beene of Tomball, Texas, and sister and brother-in-law Dianne and Scott Feagan of Roby, Texas. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a baby brother, a nephew, and a brother-in-law. Pallbearers were nephews Shea Feagan, Todd Harris, Jack Brown and Ed Poehls, Aaron Hood, Pistol Hood, Roy Blair, and Gary Sam Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Lupe Torres, Jerry Gibbs, Jimmy Bickley, David Key, and the men of Robert Lee Baptist Church. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of VistaCare Hospice. Even though it was a short time, you are like family.
