J. C. THORN

Julius Clifford "J C" "Cliff" Thorn, age 92, resident of the Rio Concho 
Terrace, San Angelo Texas, and former resident of Christoval, Texas, 
went to be with the Lord on Friday April 9, 2010, at Shannon Hospital 
in San Angelo, Texas.
 
He was preceded by his first wife, Mildred Louise Walls, his wife, 
Sara Jane "Janie" White Pond.
 
Cliff is survived by his brother Gayland and his wife Mary of Fredonia, 
Texas; his sister Oletha Burnett of Pasadena, Texas; his son Ronald "Ron" 
and his wife Fayne of Bronte, Texas; his son Michael and his wife Cathy 
of Temperance, Michigan; step-son Jimmy Pond and his wife Sharon and 
step-son Ronald "Ronnie" Pond all of San Angelo, Texas; step-daughter 
Barbara Boyd and her husband Buzzy of Sherman, Texas; twelve grandchildren; 
seven great-grand-daughters, and twelve great-grandsons.  He is further 
survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  In addition 
to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two wives, Mildred and 
Sarah Jane; two brothers, Douglas and Cecil; two sisters, Ethel Grace and 
Zula B., and an infant brother Bobby Gene.

A viewing for family and friends was held at Shaffer Funeral Home in 
San Angelo Sunday, April 11, and Monday April 12 with family visitation on 
Sunday, April 11.  Graveside services were held at 1 pm Monday, April 12, 2010, 
at the Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell under the direction of Shaffer Funeral 
Home.  The Rev. Buddy Trull officiated.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Rio Concho Terrace, 
403 Rio Concho Drive, San Angelo, Texas 76903.
