Obituary: Lois Stanhiser Dunklin, May 25, 2011 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Feb 2012 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - June 3, 2011 DUNKLIN Lois Dunklin Lois Stanhiser Dunklin, 95, of Bronte, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Visitation was all day Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the funeral home with the family present from 5 pm to 7 pm. Services were at the First United Methodist Church in Robert Lee Friday, May 27, 2011, at 2 pm with burial following in Fairview Cemetery in Bronte. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Lois was born to William Franklin and Martha Harrell Stanhiser on September 13, 1915, in Roddy, Texas, county of Van Zant in East Texas. Lois had a colorful life. She graduated from two different high schools. She married James A. Dunklin, November 15, 1934. Lois loved her church and was very active in each one where she was a member. In 1946 she and Jim were charter members of the Buenavista Methodist Church. They were regular church members where ever they lived. She also enjoyed fishing and camping. Lois was a police woman for the city of Borger for 16 years. She loved police work, but had to retire early because of ill health. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; brother; Otto Stanhiser, and husband, A. Dunklin. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Luckett; grandson, Joe Luckett, both of Bronte; granddaughter, Debbie Luckett Bayer and husband Scott of San Angelo; and three grandchildren; Aaron Bayer, Amanda Bayer, and Corey Bayer, and sister; Sue Stanhiser Crenshaw and her daughter Jan Crenshaw of Houston, Texas. The family would like to thank the Bronte Health and Rehab Center and Hospice of San Angelo for their loving care. Memorials can be sent to the Bronte Health and Rehab Center (900 S.
