Obituary: James Keith Hood, November 30, 2011

The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - December 9 2011

James Keith Hood passed away on November 30, 2011, in Midland, Texas. 
Memorial service was held at 2 pm Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 
Southside Church of Christ in Robert Lee, Texas. Arrangements were by 
Shaffer Funeral Home.
 
James was born August 13, 1953, to Keith Vane Hood and Mary Perry Hood. 
James graduated from Robert Lee High School in 1971.
After high school, he received a master's in wild-life science from 
Angelo State University.
 
He then spent 10 + years working as an animal pharmaceutical 
representative. From that, he purchased a ranch near Bronte and spent 
his remaining years as a farmer/rancher. James retired 
in 2011.

James was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed passing that 
knowledge on to others, operating a guide service for many years.
 
He is survived by numerous cousins from Rhode Island, Ohio, and Texas.
