Obituary: JoAnn McCutchen, August 23, 2011 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Sep 2011 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - Friday, September 2, 2011 McCUTCHEN JoAnn McCutchen JoAnn McCutchen, 74, was welcomed into heaven by her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Visitation was all day Thursday, August 25, 2011, at the funeral home. Funeral service was held at 10 am Friday, August 25, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church of Bronte with burial following in Fairview Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. JoAnn was born October 3, 1936, to Cecil and Lucille Crawford in Clyde, Texas. She met the love of her life, Marlon McCutchen, in Odessa, Texas, in 1961.They were married July 27, 1961, and then later moved to Midkiff and made it their home for the next 38 years where they raised their family. While living in Midkiff, both Marlon and JoAnn worked in the petroleum industry. In her spare time, she always enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. JoAnn's children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was very close to her family and they enjoyed traveling together for vacations. She also traveled to all of her children's and grandchildren's sporting events to support them in everything they participated in. JoAnn enjoyed being around people and made friends through all walks of life. She never met a person she didn't like and didn't like her in return. She enjoyed doing for others and always put everyone else's needs above her own. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. JoAnn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Marlon McCutchen of Bronte; her sons, Tommy McCutchen and wife Kathy of Cabot, Arkansas, Shane McCutchen and wife Tia of Howell, Michigan; her sisters, Jeanette White and husband Don of Odessa, Donna Kay Brown and husband Lytle of North Carolina. She is also survived by her grand children, Lauren McCutchen, Brandon McCutchen, Blake McCutchen, all of Cabot, Arkansas, Kylee Brown of Howell, Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Bronte Health and Rehab Center and Hospice of San Angelo for their love and care.
