Obituary: John Doughty McDonald, June 22, 2011 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines June 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - July 1, 2011 John Doughty McDonald, 50, was born on November 26, 1960, and passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Funeral service was held at 9 am Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Bronte with Corey Cornutt officiating. Burial followed in Fort Chadbourne Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donnie Pace, Marty Boyd, Johnny Moore, Shawn Cason, Reid Clark, Callen Clark. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Doughty was born to Maxine and Pete McDonald in Bronte, Texas. He graduated from Central High School and went on to Angelo State University. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Business and Finance. Doughty worked as trust officer at Central National bank for twelve years. After leaving the bank, he decided to begin ranching which he greatly enjoyed. Some the best times of his life were spent fishing with his two sons. He is preceded in death by his parents. Doughty is survived by his wife, Emily Robins McDonald; his sons, Mario DeLaRosa, and J. D. "Bear" McDonald II all of Bronte; his cousins, Jimmy Rawlings of Bronte, Patty Rawlings of Dallas, Kathy Meador of Abilene, Nancy Poe of Kaufman, and many other cousins.
