MILLICAN

ROBERT LEE - 

Lorene Millican, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. 
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011 
at Robert Lee Baptist Church with Alan Cartrite officiating.  Interment 
will follow at Robert Lee Cemetery.  Services are under the direction 
of Shaffer Funeral Home.

Lorene was born on October 18, 1923 to Pleas and Emma Johnson in Harvey, 
Arkansas.  In 1938 she moved to Coke County where she resided and raised 
her family.  Lorene was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.  She will be 
missed by all those whose lives she touched.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, 
F. C. "Son" Millican; one infant son, James Millican and nine of 
her siblings.

Lorene is survived by her sons, Bobby Dale Millican, David Ellsworth Millican 
and wife Teresa all of Robert Lee, William Clifton Millican of Sanderson, Texas; 
her daughters Jo Ann Carter, Ruby Frances Hood and husband Royce all of 
Robert Lee; her sister, Jimmie Lee Dooley of Lubbock; her grandchildren, 
Gaye Reynolds and husband Rocky of Rockport, Texas, Jana Demere and husband Dusty 
of Canyon, Texas, Eddie Hood and wife Sheri of Henrietta, Texas, 
Bobby Millican Jr. and wife Cassie of San Angelo, Robbye Millican of San Angelo, 
David Millican and wife Cassandra of Brownwood, Chance Millican of Alpine, 
Shadye Millican of Snyder.  She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren 
and five great great grandchildren.
