Obituary: Inella Bruton Nicholas, June 25, 2011 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines June 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - July 1, 2011 Inella Bruton Nicholas of Bronte passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the age of 90. Inella was born November 17, 1920, in Fannin County in East Texas to Everett and Neva Bruton. The family moved to Coke County when she was four along with little sister, Cloreta. Inella graduated from Bronte High School in 1938. She married the love of her life E. O."Speck" Nicholas in1942. They took their honeymoon to the state of Washington and stayed a year. They also lived in San Angelo and Abilene. Inella loved her family and friends. She was a sweet and kind person to everyone. She always cooked favorite foods and desserts for all the family for birthdays and holidays. She was a great cook to the day she passed away, making lunch for her sister and great-great-niece, Madison. Inella is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister, Cloreta Spoonts of Bronte; her niece, Linda Massingill and husband Roy of Bronte; nephew, John Spoonts and wife JoEtta of Ft. Worth; great niece, Stephanie Price and husband Chris of Virginia; great-great nieces, Madison Price of Bronte and Kristen Price of Virginia; cousin, John L. Bruton and wife Janie of Midland; many nieces and nephews on the Nicholas side whom she loved dearly. Special thanks to Darrell Sowell and Larry and Gwen Dyess for their quick response in this emergency. Coke County is blessed to have people like you in time of need. Inella has made her final arrangements and the family will honor her wishes with no service. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Coke County Fire Department or Bronte Volunteer EMS.
