Obituary: Angelina Gerreo Sanchez, October 24, 2011 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines April 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - October 28, 2011 Angelina Gerreo Sanchez, 84, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, October 24, 2011. Visitation was all day Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the funeral home with the family present from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral service was held at 2 pm Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the First Baptist Church of Bronte with Rev. Morris Johnson and Rev. Corey Cornutt officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were; Steven Casares, David Casares, Daniel Casares, Jeremy Sanchez, Ricardo Sanchez, and Luis Fuentez. Ray Barnett was an honorary pallbearer. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Angelina was born on July 13, 1927, to Miguel and Juanita Gutierrez in Ft. Chadbourne, Texas. She was a life-long resident of Coke County. In 1941, she met and married the love of her life, David Sanchez. She was very devoted to her husband and her family and she was their rock. Angelina had a great love for the residents of Bronte. They were her friends and she loved each of them dearly. In her later years, she worked at the Bronte Nursing Home lovingly doing the laundry for the residents there. Her presence will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972; one son, Johnny Sanchez; one sister, Margie Montez; one daughter, Rosa Fuentez; and two grandsons, Nicholas Casares and Michael Sanchez. Angelina is survived by her sons; Lupe Sanchez, Willie Sanchez; her daughter, Lidia Casares all of Bronte; her brother, Mike Gutierrez of Cleburne, Texas; 28 grand-children; 62 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. *************************** Permission granted by The Observer/Enterprise for publication in the Coke County TXGenWeb and/or the Coke County Archives of the USGenWeb.
