Obituary: Alberto Pruneda Garza, July 4, 2012 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Mar 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - July 13, 2012 Alberto Pruneda Garza, 71, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Visitation was all day Friday, July 6, 2012, at Iglesia Bautista Betel, located at 101 Houston, Robert Lee, with a prayer service at 7 pm. Funeral service was held at 3 pm Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the church. Burial followed in Robert Lee Hispanic Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Alberto was born to Enrique and Concepcion Pruneda Garza in El Charco Matamoros Tamanlipas, Mexico, on August 7, 1940. He married Julia Lara on July 3, 1970, in Robert Lee, Texas. Alberto worked in cement construction for most of his life. He enjoyed gardening and raising animals, such as pigs, lambs, goats, dogs, and birds. He is preceded in death by both his parents; brothers, Eusebio Garza, Feliz Garza; sister, Blanca Salazar; and granddaughter, Tamara Doss. Alberto is survived by his wife, Julia Garza of Robert Lee; his children, Christine and Manuel Abalos of Robert Lee, Elsa Doss of Magnolia, Texas, Sara and Reys Cruz of San Angelo, Caesar and Stacy De La Peņa of San Jose, California, Maria Elisa Garza Guajardo of Brownsville, Texas; his siblings, Esmerejildo Garza and wife Helo of San Benito, Texas, Rosa Garza of San Juan, Texas, Theresa Dominguez and husband Sergio of Acuna, Mexico, Amalia Luna of San Angelo, Texas, Gloria and husband Thomas Palacios of San Angelo, Texas, Querino and Maria Garza of Fort Worth, Erasmo Garza and wife Natalia of San Angelo; grandchildren, Cynthia and J.P.
