Obituary: D.W. Sims, April 8, 2013

The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - April 26, 2013

D.W. Sims went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 8, 2013, at the 
age of 71. Private graveside services were held at 10am, Thursday, 
April 11, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte, Texas, officiated
by John Driggers. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

D. W Sims was born in Coke County, on December 20, 1941, to R. W. Sims and 
Daisy Bennett Sims.

He was a nursing home administrator for many years as well as a clinical 
laboratory director and a certified x-ray technician. D.W. loved studying 
and learning about history.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jean Sowell, Wilma Gann, 
Rickie Mixson and their spouses. D.W. is survived by his sister, 
Johnnie Luttrell and her husband Tom, of Odessa, along with numerous nieces
and nephews.
