Obituary: Maedell Welch, July 15, 2013 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines April 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - July 26, 2013 Maedell Welch, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Midland, Texas on July 15, 2013. The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services were on Friday, July 19, at 2 pm at Bellview Baptist Church in Midland, Texas, with Pastor Myron Unruh officiating. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Park, in Midland. Maedell was born on October 31, 1931, to Manuel and Anna Mae McCullough in Sanco, Texas. Her family later moved to Eunice, New Mexico, where she graduated from high school in 1948. After graduation, she married and spent the majority of her adult life caring for her large family. Maedell was a member of Bellview Baptist Church for many years where she served faithfully on the Benevolence Committee and Funeral Committee. Maedell is survived by sisters Vera Bettis and husband Charlie and Betty McCalib of Eunice, New Mexico, and sister Dorothy Pope of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; sons Mack Worcester and wife Becky and Ricky Jackson of Midland, Texas, daughters Joyce McCormick of Plainview, Texas, and Janette Worcester and Juanita Allcorn of Midland, Texas, daughter-in-law Terry Worcester of Topeka, Kansas, stepson Jerry Welch and wife Marsha of Lovington, New Mexico, stepdaughter Sharon Clouse and husband Bob of Eunice, New Mexico, and stepdaughter-in-law Marsha Ann Welch of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and step-father, O.R. Eubanks, husband Charles C. Worcester and husband Irl A. Welch, daughter Sharlene Forsythe, son Clayton Worcester, son-in-law Bobby Allcorn, stepson Ricky Welch and sister Dorothy McCaslin.
