Obituary: Marjorie "Nanny" Marie Cooper, December 19, 2014 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Jun 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - Friday January 2, 2015 Services for Marjorie "Nanny" Marie Cooper, 86, of Bronte were held at 10 am, Monday, December 22, 2014, at Paul Ann Baptist Church in San Angelo with her grandson Jeff Gilliam officiating. Burial followed at 2 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Visitation was held Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Shaffer Funeral Home in Bronte. Marjorie went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 19, 2014, in Ballinger. She was born in Newlin, Texas, to Otho "O.C." and Mamie (Whitten) Crabtree. Marjorie graduated from Quitaque High School in 1947 and went straight from her graduation ceremony to the First Baptist Church in Turkey, Texas, to wed Norris "Dick" Paul Cooper. Dick preceded her in death in 2002. She is also preceded in death by a son, Danny Cooper in 1980 and a brother, Wayne Crabtree. She was a homemaker and mother of 8 children. She was a woman of strong faith and everlasting spirit. She was a member of PaulAnn Baptist Church in San Angelo. Marjorie is survived by her loving children; Donald Cooper and wife Mary Jane of Bronte, Ron Cooper and Nancy Cooper of Bronte, Andra Arrott and husband Mike of Bronte, Shalon Hall and husband Kerry of Bronte, Sherri Crawford and husband Donald of Houston, Dicki Steen and husband Tim of Ballinger and Robbie Cooper and wife Enesbeth of Vernon; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; Clifford Crabtree and wife Jimmie of Muleshoe, Morris Crabtree of El Campo, Ronnie Crabtree and wife Cathy of San Antonio; 3 sisters; Joyce Shoup and husband Johnny of Oklahoma, Mary Taylor and husband Jim of San Antonio and Shalon Tillotson of Amarillo; numerous nieces and nephews.
