Obituary: Julia Kirkham Kennedy, December 27, 2014 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Jun 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - Friday January 9, 2015 Julia Kirkham Kennedy went rushing into the arms of The Lord December 27, 2014 and brightened heaven with her smile. Those who knew her saw a tiny piece of heaven through her unconditional love and amazing ability to forgive. Julia never met a stranger and had a gift to always make you laugh. She dedicated her life to teaching others about hard work and how to enjoy life no matter what. Julia was born to O.C. and Jacquelynn (Jackie) Kirkham March 23, 1954 in San Angelo. She attended school in San Angelo and graduated from Central High School. She worked for Stripes in Bronte, TX. Her career in convenience stores allowed her to share her happiness with others. She is preceded in death by her father O.C. Kirkham and her brother James Kirkham. She is survived by her mother, Jacquelynn (Jackie) Kirkham of San Angelo, TX; three sisters, Margo Law of San Antonio, TX, JoAnn Womack of Winters, TX and Shirley Bradshaw of San Angelo, TX; one brother, Mike Kirkham of Helotes, TX; her son, Skeeter Kennedy of Crane, TX; her daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Travis DeLeon of Crane, TX; one grandson, Cash Gunner DeLeon of Crane. Julia lived by two rules, laughter and love. She lit up the room and always made you feel better. We are all better for having known her, you weren't able to walk away without learning something valuable from her. Her legacy will live on through family and her friends whom she loved like family. The family received visitors all day Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Macon You Crazy Ranch located at 845 Copeland Rd., Blackwell, TX 79506, approximately 11 miles North of Bronte on 277. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Bronte. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
