Obituary: Timmy "Tim" Ray McKee, May 14, 2014 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines June 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - May 23, 2014 Timmy "Tim" Ray McKee, 59, of Bronte, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 14, 2014. Funeral services were held at 1 pm Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Bronte, Texas, with John Driggers officiating. Burial followed at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, Texas. Pallbearers were; Darrell Sowell, Mark Moore, Jimmy Walker, Mike Saunders, Terry Queen, Jim Guthrie, Jeff Lee, and Jae Ewing. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Tim was born December 1, 1954, in San Angelo, Texas, to R. J. "Pete" and Erin McKee. He was a 1974 graduate of Lakeview High School. He married Elaine Bryson on September 1, 1979. He worked for Verizon for 37 years before retiring in 2014. After retirement from Verizon, he worked for Coke County. Tim also served many years as a member of the Bronte Volunteer Fire Department. He loved working in his garage and yard and he was an avid sports fan. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, R. J. "Pete" and Erin McKee and sister-in-law, Jan. Tim is survived by his wife, Elaine McKee of Bronte, Texas, daughter, Stacie McKee of San Angelo, Texas; son, Casey McKee of San Angelo, Texas, brother, Jim McKee and wife Pam of Sterling City, Texas, sister, Bobbie Tripodi and husband Joe of Glendale, Arizona, sister, Rosalie Bennett and husband Ron of Sun City, Texas, father-in-law, Stanley Bryson and wife Nell of McCamey, Texas, brother-in- law, Joe Bryson, of San Antonio, Texas, along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express special thanks to the Bronte EMS and to Darrell and Debbie Sowell of Bronte, Texas.
