Obituary: Dorothy Elizabeth Putman, June 12, 2014 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines June 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - June 20, 2014 Putman On June 12, 2014, Dorothy Elizabeth Putman went on to be with the Lord. Grave-side services were held at 10:30 am, Monday, June 16, 2014, in the Snyder County Cemetery in Snyder, Texas, where she will be laid to rest. Arrangements were by Shaffer Funeral Home. Dorothy was born on October 9, 1932, in Cottonwood, Texas, to Viola and John Snyder. She was self-employed for many years owning a café in Robert Lee, Texas. She was known and loved for her "country cooking." Momma was the rock of her family whom she cherished and loved unconditionally. She was a member of Victory Assembly of God in Robert Lee, Texas, for many years and dearly loved her pastor and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Paul Sanders; daughter, Gala June Sanchez; and three sons; Boogie Sanders, James Edward Sanders and Bobby Joe Sanders. Momma is survived by her husband, Rex Putman of Robert Lee, Texas; son, Billy Wayne Sanders and wife Yvonne of Albany, Texas; daughters, Paula Burchard of San Angelo, Texas, and Eugenia Moran and husband Jason of Robert Lee, Texas; step-daughter, Melanie Remy and husband Gene of San Marcos, Texas; step-son, Little Rex Putman and wife Jodie of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as many grand-children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family requests memorials be given to Victory Assembly of God in Robert Lee, Texas, or to a charity of one's choice.
