Obituary: Rayvon Denson, September 28, 2015 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Oct 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - Friday, October 9, 2015 Rayvon Denson, also known by many in the Bronte area as Tamale Ray, passed away Friday, September the 28th, 2015. He was known by folks from far and wide. Truckers coming through delighted in getting to Bronte just so they could purchase some of his wonderful, homemade tamales. People that returned to town for a visit would go to his house if they didn't find him out on the corner to purchase several dozen of the treats. His happy personality and big wave will be missed by all. Rayvon was born October 7th, 1946 in Mineola, New York, to James and Annie Lou Denson. He married the love of his life Ana Torres in 1994, with whom he shared 21 happy years. He is survived by his wife, Ana, brothers James and wife Viola Denson of Louisiana, Carl and wife Teresa Denson and Dwight and Anita Denson of Mineola, New York, sister Merlin Denson of South Carolina, son Chris Denson and grandson, "little" Rayvon.
