Obituary: Maxine Post, June 25, 2015 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Aug 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, Friday, July 3, 2015 Post Maxine Post, of Snyder, and formerly of Robert Lee, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015. Visitation was held all day Sunday at the funeral home with family present 2-4 p.m. Her funeral was at 10 am Monday, June 29, 2015, at the Robert Lee Baptist Church with burial following in the Robert Lee Cemetery. The Pall Bearers were her grandsons. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Maxine was born May 31, 1925, in Marion, LA to Perry Lee and Mittie Day Reppond. She married Perry Allen Post on March 21, 1941, and they were together fifty-five years before his passing in 1997. They were married and lived in Louisiana, but moved to Silver, Texas, in 1950 where they lived for many years. They had three children. They moved to Laverne, Oklahoma, and she was amazed at how high the snow drifts were compared to West Texas. In Laverne, she worked for Fruit of the Loom, which was her first job outside the home. She and her husband were in a bowling league in Laverne and won several trophies. After several years, they moved to Alice, Texas, and then retired to Robert Lee, Texas, in 1981 where she lived until she moved to Snyder, Texas, in January 2015. She loved to read and crochet. She was also an excellent cook. Everyone always enjoyed her food. She loved to sing, especially hymns. She had a strong faith in God and was a member of the Robert Lee Baptist Church. Maxine had just celebrated her 90th birthday with a small party with her family that made her happy. She was always interested in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren. She wanted to keep up with what was going on in their lives and was always so proud of them and all their accomplishments. Some people said that she was the youngest ninety year old that they had ever known. She was still going strong right up until the end. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Mittie, her husband, Perry, her brothers, Travis Reppond and Benny Joe Reppond, her sisters Marylene Reppond and Atha McCorkle, and son-in-law Clayton Bloodworth. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Pansy Bloodworth; sons, Stanley Post and wife Anne, Mike Post and wife Kathy; her sister, Patsy Jameson; her grand-children, Janice Smith and husband Monte, Clay Bloodworth and wife Diana, Patty Schniers and husband, Curtis, Bryan Post and wife Meredith, Kelly Potteiger and husband Adam, Ricky Post and wife Tiffany, Christopher Post wife Sarah; great-grandchildren, Matthew and wife Glynis, Jacob and wife Danielle, Erin, Lewis and wife Ashley, Chad and wife Mandy, Brad, Leslie, Caden, Conner, Parker, Pierson, Pheobe, Jackson, Charlie Marie, and Tristan; and great-great-Grandchildren; Danita, Kassidy, Riley, Kadence, Ryan, Braden, Kassidy, and Kaleb.
