Obituary: Stover Wayne Taylor, September 12, 2015 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Oct 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX, Friday, September 25, 2015 Stover Wayne Taylor Stover Wayne Taylor, 74, of Bronte, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Shannon Medical Center. Stover was born November 21, 1940, in Roscoe, Texas, the son of Horace Columbus and Bonnie Beatrice (Johnson) Taylor. Stover was so proud of his family. He is survived by his precious sweetheart of forty-nine years, Jerita Bess Michaels Taylor, two daughters, Misti LaSean Bedford, her husband David Ray Bedford of Bronte, daughter, Eboni Taylor Johnson, her husband Richard Carroll Johnson of South Carolina; one son, Brent Dayne Michaels Taylor, his wife Jamie Nicole of Carrollton. He had nine grandchildren, Brooke Taylor Bedford, Brittney Ray Bedford, Tanner David Bedford, Anna Grace Johnson, Lacy Taylor Johnson, Leah Nicole Johnson, Jessica Abigail Johnson, Ezekiel Stover Taylor, Zane Wilson Taylor. Surviving siblings include sister, Lynda Kay Thornton of Abilene; brother, Bobby Joyce Taylor of Commerce. Also surviving are his Uncle, Lucian Mac (Chub) Johnson of Odessa, a dear cousin and friend Russell Johnson of Bronte and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by sister, Betty Jean Stancill of Grand Prairie. Stover graduated from Abilene Christian University with degrees in Psychology and Bible and married Jerita Bess June 4, 1966. He worked as the Coke County Auditor in the courthouse at Robert Lee for twenty-eight years. Stover loved his family and community and served ten years on the Bronte Ambulance Service and also s erved on the Nursing Home Council and School Board Stover was an elder and faithful member of the Bronte Church of Christ and was cherished by all for his humor and gentle kindness. His mission was to help spread the gospel throughout the world, his desire was to receive his eternal reward. Stover has now received the desire of his heart. Visitation was held Saturday, September 19, 2015, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Bronte Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Bronte Church of Christ, 118 S. Jefferson St. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arms of Hope Children's Home (Medina Campus) 21300 State Highway 16 N.
