Obituary: Itha Mae Clifton Williams, October 23, 2015 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Oct 2015 *********************************************************************** San Angelo Standard Times, Tom Green Co., TX - October 2015 Itha Mae Williams, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2015 in San Angelo. Itha Mae was born February 24, 1916 in Bronte, Texas to the late Claud and Annie Lee Taylor Clifton. She met the love of her life, James A. (Jimmy) Williams, and they were married in August 1937. They enjoyed 64 wonderful years together before his death in 2001. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She dearly loved being "Mema" to her grandchildren and loved all children. She was a longtime member of Chadbourne North Church of Christ. Itha Mae loved the outdoors and doing yardwork, gardening and plants. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed hosting her family's gatherings. She also loved to travel and see new places. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Ann Cobb in 2003, and three sisters and one brother. She is remembered by her loving family, daughters, Jean Carroll and her husband Dick of San Angelo; and Neva Fisher and her husband Arthur of Alamogordo, New Mexico; grandchildren, Cindy Hoefs and her husband Ferd, Carla Cochran and her husband Phillip, and Shelton Fisher and his wife Stephanie, all of San Angelo; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; niece, Felma Evans of Bronte; and nephew, Terry Minnick of Massachusetts. *************************** Copyright.
