R. Hayley Bronte, Feb 15 - Funeral service for A. R. Hayley, aged 64, who died at his home at Hayrick Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock were held at the Hayrick church by the Rev. W. N. Dunson at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Mr. Hayley had returned home only the day before his death from a San Angelo hospital where he had undergone a serious operation and seemed to be on the road to recovery. Death, due to acute indigestion, came suddenly. He was born in Mississippi but came to Texas early in life and to Coke County in 1889, where he had since resided. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lela Hayley, four daughters, Mrs. R. C. Laswell, Mrs. C. M. McCutchen, Mrs. Wesley Fields and Mrs. H. M. Kirkland, all of Bronte; a brother, W. L. Hayley of Norton; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Parker of Lubbock; Mrs. Lula Peeler of Clyde and Mrs. Pat McMullan of Midland. Burial was in Hayrick Cemetery with Frank Keeney in charge of arrangements.
