Obituary: Clinton Hugh "Clint H." Wilkins, August, 1949 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines March 2015 *********************************************************************** Bronte Enterprise, Coke County, TX - August, 1949 Funeral services for Clinton Hugh "Clint H." Wilkins, 63, were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon from the Bronte Baptist Church, with the Rev. V. Price, pastor of the church, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Alvin R. Mauldin, pastor of the Bronte Methodist church, and Rev. E. L Thurmond, pastor of the Kickapoo Baptist church. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery in Bronte under the direction of Clift Funeral Home. Wilkins, prominent farmer and rancher, had been a resident of Coke county for almost 50 years and had been a member of the Baptist church for over 50 years. He was born in Coleman County on December 20, 1885. He died Tuesday morning in the local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Annie McCutchen Wilkins; one son, Joe George Wilkins of Bronte; one sister, W. S. Beam of Abilene; one brother, C. A.
