Consideration, $252.50, in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, and the further consideration of the execution and delivery of
two notes described below;
Acknowledgment before F.R. Pridham N.P. for Victoria Co., Texas, September
9th., 1879, Statutory,

Two promissory notes of even date herewith one for the sum of $97.50, due
Dec 25th., 1879, and the other for the sum of $350.00 due the 1st. day of
Oct. 1880, both of said notes drawing interest at the rate of 10% per annum,

Conveys 160 acres of land situated in Coleman County, Texas, patented to
Cornelius McAuley by patent No. 232, Vol. 9, dated July 21st., 1879,
                                       Beginning at the S.E. cor of Jno.
Needham survey No. 497, a stake on the S bank of Jim Ned creek;
     Thence S 950 vrs, st md;
     Thence W 950 vrs;
     Thence N crossing Hords creek, 950 vrs., to stk:
     Thence E with the S line of said Needham survey 950 vrs to the place of
beginning.
