		MRS. RUTH ASHLEY BAXTER, 89

Mrs. Ruth Ashley Baxter, age 89, of Santa Anna passed away Monday, August
21, 2000 at 8:30 a.m. at Cross Country Care Center in Brownwood.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Santa Anna
Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Jones officiating. Henderson Funeral Home of
Santa Anna is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth was born December 9, 1910 in Comanche County to the late T. A. and
Henrietta Ann Gaskill Huggins. She was reared in Comanche County where she
attended the Comanche schools. Ruth married Darrell Ashley in Coleman on
February 1, 1929 and he preceded her in death in 1979. She married Frank
Thomas Baxter in Coleman in 1884 and he preceded her in death in 1996. Ruth
had been a resident of Coleman County since 1928, moving here from Comanche
County. She was a homemaker and member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews including Matthew Haley of
Comanche and Robert Haley of Stephenville.
