Murphy (Plano), Texas ----------------------------------------------------------- Survey conducted on 7-17-04 Surname is listed first and then the inscription as it reads on the stone. BRAMLET -- Melvina wife of W.H. Bramlet Born Feb 10, 1847 Died Aug 5, 1909 "Farewell dear mother sweet thy rest, Weary with years and warn with pain. Farewell till in some happy place, we shall behold thy face again." The stone is tall and reads "BRAMLET" in large, capital letters near the base. Also, there is a small footstone which reads "M.M.B." CHANDLER -- Ernestine Dau of J.W. & Alice Chandler Born Sept 11, 1906 Died Oct 15, 1906 "Of such is the kingdom of Heaven." The stone is medium tall with CHANDLER in large, capital letters near the base. Also, there is a small footstone which reads "E.C." CHANDLER -- Infant Dau of O.A. & M.M. Chandler Born & Died Aug 26, 1915 "Happy infant early blest Rest in peaceful Slumber rest." Also, there is a small footstone which reads "Infant" CHANDLER -- Cliford Elvin son of O.A. & M.M. Chandler b. Sep 12, 1917 d. May 22, 1918 "Twas _____ _____ too good for earth _______ _____ into Heaven." Also, there is a little footstone which reads "C.E.C." CHANDLER -- ? There is no engraving. The stone looks as though it is the base stone for a tall marker. The base has the same design as the CHANDLER children and is located near their stones. McMILLEN -- Father C. A. McMillen Born Jan 29, 1818 Died Sept 16, 1914 "A poor sinner saved by grace." Also, there is a flat stone which reads "C.A.McM." The main gravestone is large, grey granite with both C.A. and Lydia's names (see next line for Lydia). A cement rectangular outline surrounds the headstone and footstones. McMILLEN -- Mother Lydia Noble wife of C.A. McMillen Born Aug 7, 1821 Died Feb 16, 1907 "A sinner saved by grace." Also, there is a small foot stone which reads "L.N.McM." McMILLEN -- ? Orange Atlas bricks outline what appears to be two graves to the right of Lydia McMillen. McMILLEN -- Willard Harris McMillen b. Apr 4, 1916 d. Jan 16, 1919 "A little time on earth he spent Till God for him His angel sent." Also, there is a small footstone which reads "W.H.M." A cement rectangular outline surrounds the stones. McMILLEN -- ? A cement rectangle outlines a gravesite with no stone. Located to the left of Willard McMillen. POINDEXTER -- W. J. Poindexter b. May 8, 1808 d. Mar 9, 1901 "He shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." The stone is tall with POINDEXTER in large, capital letters near the base. Also, there is a small footstone which reads "W.J.P." TURNER -- Leonard Turner b. 1903 d. 1924 This flat stone is located at the far end of the cemetery. No other stones are found near it.
