J. Ledbetter organized a class in vocal music, which will begin next Fri. night at the schoolhouse. Miss Ora Straughn spent Tuesday and Wednesday with relatives at Princeton. James Osborne, a young man who lives at Climax, happened to a painful accident the evening before Christmas, while shooting fireworks at Princeton. He lit a large cannon cracker and before it could be thrown, exploded, lacerating his hand fearfully and bursting his left eye. Misses Mittie and Esther Rambo spent several days last week visiting relatives in McKinney. George McKinney and Lon Taylor passed through our village Saturday, returning from a hunt. A candy breaking was enjoyed by the young people at the residence of S. H. Houseman, Thurs. night. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Shockley are rejoicing over the addition of a fine baby boy to their home circle, which event took place on the 25th of December.
