Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Tillerson of Celina, Texas will observe their
Golden Wedding Anniversary this Sunday, July 19, 1964
with open house at their home in the Alla community.
Receiving with the couple will be their children, Mr. and
Mrs. L. P. Cowart of Bay City, Texas,  Mr. and Mrs. W. E.
Kinney of Hollywood, California, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Tillerson
of Celeste, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Pruitt of Dallas, Texas.
Other members of the houseparty will be honorees grandchildren,
Charles Tillerson of Denton, Texas, Mrs. Frank Mormon of
Dallas, Texas, Joe Tillerson of Celeste, Texas, and Wayne and
Cynthia Pruitt of Dallas, Texas.  Mr. Tillerson is a son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Tillerson and was born on the Tillerson farm
two miles east of Alla Community.  Mrs. Tillerson, a daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Harris W. Flanary, was born on the Tom Findley
farm also in the Alla Community.  Mrs. Jessie Jewel Flanary became
the bride of William Raymond Tillers July 19, 1914 at the home of
her father.  For the past forty years Mr. and Mrs. Tillerson have
lived in this same home in which they were married.  The Rev. G.W.
Walls, now of Denison, Texas officiated in the wedding ceremony.
He is planning to attend the anniversary observance.  Mr. Tillerson
operates a farm in the area and serves as a substitute mail carrier.
He served as a tax assessor for a number of years.  Mr. and Mrs
Tillerson are active members of the Bethel Baptist Church.
