Jim Bates has been suffering with rheumatism this past week. Joe Bates and his wife visited Princeton, Sunady, May 18th? Henry Steele and his wife attended church Sun. morning at Wilson Chapel. Rev. Osburn preached at McDonald the second Sun. and Sun. night. Mr. Brazil of Bowlby? attended Sun. School at the church here Sun. afternoon. John Steele. Sr. spent Sat., May 16th, with his son and family of Longview, where he enjoyed a birthday dinner. W. D. Browning and wife attended the bedside of the former's sister, who lived near Melissa and remained until she died. Rev. Hollums, pastor of Second Baptist Church in Mckinney preached an interesting sermon at the church, Sun. We were glad to have him. Prof. Allen of McDonald has agreed to come and meet with the young people one night out of each week and offer his instructions. We had a nice crowd Sat. night, will meet again Fri. night. Everybody invited.
