Speck's Sunday night. Wm Perkins's family have arrived from the nation and Mr. Perkins will be on in a few days. They have rented a farm of S. A. Rosamond. Rosamond School opened today and the attendance was a record breaker for the first day---37. Charlie Bell arrived from Red River County, Sunday and says Collin is good enough for him. E. C. Forbes received the distressing news a few days ago that his brother, James T., who was on his way home from California was dangerously sick of pneumonia at Los Angeles. W. D. Holder and son, Walter, who have been visiting the former's daughter, Mrs. Woods in Comanche County, arrived home Sunday. Mrs. Woods, who has been sick, was improving when they left. Hawk Brown, L. T. Lindsey and Charlie Edmonson attended the Republican Club meeting at Anna Sunday night. ------------------------------------------------ Rosamond---Friday, Nov. 7, 1924 The farmers of this community have most of their cotton picked and are busy gathering corn and preparing their land for another crop. Miss Verda Webb spent Sunday with Miss Anna May Todd. Paschal Jr., the litle son of Mr. and Mrs. Paschal Brown has been sick the past week but is better at this writing. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Gambrell and family spent Sunday at Princeton. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Mack Sweeney of Cannon. Miss Dovie Prestridge spent Sunday with Miss Nola Bee Fields. The farewell party given by E. W. Reed Monday night was a success. Everyone reports a nice time. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Gambrell are moving to Princeton this week. We regret to lose them but we realize it is our loss and Princeton's gain. School began last Monday at this place with Miss Alma Littrell as teacher. prospects are we will have a fine school. Miss Opal Reed spent Sunday with Miss Alma Combest.
