JO BARNETT BURIED AT BLUE RIDGE THURSDAY

J O (Jim) Barnett, former Blue Ridge resident, died in Laredo Tuesday after a
several month's illness. He was a native of Alabama, but had resided in and
near Blue Ridge since young manhood, until a few years ago when he moved to
Dallas.  He operated a barber shop for many years.  Funeral services were held
Thursday afternoon at Blue Ridge conducted by Rev J R Hilger of Greenville,
and Rev. Waldrom of Whitewright.  He is survived by his wife and the following
children:  J W Barnett of Truskett; Aubrey Barnett of Benjamin, and Rotan
Barnett of Goree;  Mrs. Stewart of Verona.  A sister, Mrs. Brooks Nevis, of
Blue Ridge, also survives.
