They had the following children: Zemila Lou Rotan Hicks(1884-1921) Lillian Rotan Barnett(1888-1918) Jessie Mary Rotan Bell(1891-1951) Sarah Grace Rotan Coppedge (1894-1961) John Morris Rotan (1900-1968) Lillian Rotan Barnett was the wife of James Ottus Barnett (10 Jul 1881 Al-06 Aug 1934 Webb Co, Tx). He is buried in Blue Ridge, Collin Co, Texas. OBITUARY AS FOLLOWS: Mckinney Democrat Gazette,Collin co, Texas Dec 19, 1918 front page: "Mrs. J O Barnett died of Pneumonia at 4:20 Tuesday. Mrs. Lillian R Barnett, wife of J O Barnett, 504 South Benge Street, died Tuesday afternoon at 4:20 o'clock of pneumonia. She was a daughter of Mr. And Mrs. W T Rotan of Graceton, Texas. She was born October 6, 1888 in Hopkins County, eight miles south of Sulphur Springs, where she was reared. She was well known in that county and was loved by a host of friends. She has taught school in various places over the state, having taught at Blue Ridge, this county, for the last three or four years. Mrs. Barnett moved to McKinney with her husband in the spring of this year. Her husband is a barber in the Sanitary Barber Shop, North Kentucky street. She is survived by her husband and one little son, Rotan, aged 5 years. She also leaves her parents, three sisters, Mrs. James P Hicks, Como, Mrs. Carl V. Coppedge, Ore City; and Mrs. David E Bell of Waco, and one brother, J. Morris Rotan, now in a military hospital in southern France, having been wounded in battle in October.
