Hilda was born on Jan. 31, 1923, in Springdale, W.Va., to Enoch and Iva Vivian (Gill) Cox. She married Avery Dowell Bomar on Sept. 7, 1944, in South Mills, W.Va. Hilda was a homemaker and later worked for J. C. Penney Co. She was a member of High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney, Texas. She is survived by her sons, Forrest Dowell Bomar and wife, Rita, of Garland, Texas, George Wayne Bomar and wife, Judy, of Austin, Texas, and Byron Lee Bomar and wife, Lisa, also of Garland, Texas; six grandchildren, Matthew Bomar and wife, Shannon, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mark Bomar and wife, Ashleigh, of Buda, Texas; Velvet Jordan and husband, Thomas, of Royse City, Texas; Luke Bomar of Austin, Texas; and Michelle McClain and Mitchell McClain of Garland, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Riley Bomar of Colorado Springs, Colo., and a great-grandson to be born this summer to Thomas and Velvet Jordan; sisters, Almeda McFall of Coffeyville, Kan.; Geneva Vandall of Meadow Bridge, W.Va.; Wanda Diehl of Meadow Bridge, W.Va.; Bettie Carlson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Lena Bragg of Bryantown, Md.; Norma Neel of Hughesville, Md.; Audra Milhollin of Clifton Forge, Va.; Sharon Marshall of Littleton, W.Va.; and Carla Suggs of Branford, Fla.; brothers, Joy Cox of Meadow Bridge, W.Va., and Wayne Cox of Meadow Bridge, W.Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Iva Cox; husband, Avery Dowell Bomar; sister, Rena Mitchell; brother, Joel Cox; and grandson, Michael McClain. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7:00 PM, Thursday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
