POINT MAN SHOOTS HIMSELF

G.W. Burchett, a farmer living on the Davis place about a mile and a half east
of Point, shot himself with a shotgun early yesterday morning, the charge
tearing off the top of his head and causing death instantly. It occurred in
the house but no one witnessed the sad tragedy.

Mr. Burchett came to this county a few years ago from Malissa, Texas, and is
survived by his wife and children.

He was about 60 years of age.
