Desota O’Dell Bilderback Obituary

Services for Desota O’Dell Bilderback of Route 1, Aubrey,
Texas, a 68 year old retired tax assessor for McKinney
Independent School were held Monday at First Baptist Church
of Celina, Texas.  Rev. John Bledsoe and Rev. Ron Hathcoat
officiated.  Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery.  He died
Saturday in a McKinney hospital.  Mr. Bilderback was born in
Celina, Texas; son of the late Omer and Maude McGuire Bilderback.
He married Opal Peebles on April 29, 1939 in Celina, Texas.  He
was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge,
Hella Temple Shrine, past president of the McKinney Rotary Club
and Lions Club and had worked for the McKinney Independent
School District for 17 years before his retirement.  Surviving relatives
include his wife of Aubrey, Texas; son, Bill Bilderback of Winnsboro,
Texas; four brothers, Roy Bilderback of California, Eldon Bilderback
of Celina, Texas; Velvie Bilderback of Gordonville, Texas and Glynn
Bilderback of Lubbock, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Ora Perry of
California, and two grandsons.
