Darnall, a former resident of the Cottage Hill community, died in a Dallas hospital Wednesday, January 11, 1968. Her home was at 2507 Abrams Road, Dallas. Mrs. Darnall, a native of Collin County, was the former Miss Exa Holmes. She was reared in Pilot Point and Aubrey, was a teacher in the public schools of Denton and Wise Counites, attended Denton Normal College which later became North Texas State University. She and the late George Washington Darnall were married in 1906 and made their home in the Cottage Hill community. Mr. Darnall's death occured in 1944, and Mrs. Darnall shortly thereafter moved to Dallas, where she had since resided. Mrs. Darnall was a member of the East Dallas Christian Church. While she lived in Cottage Hill she was a member of the First Christian Church of Celina. Funeral service will be Friday in Restland Chapel, Dallas, followed by grave-side services at 1 p.m. at Cottage Hill Cemetery. Officiating in the services will be Dr. Sloan Gentry, pastor of East Dallas Christian Church. Surviors are three daughters, Miss Julia Darnall, Mrs. H. A. Loper, Dallas, and Mrs. Cecil Griffin, Crane, Texas. Pallbearers will be Charlie Frank Webster, Bryan Tucker, Billy Ralph Perkins, Homer Montague, Jack Russell and Robert Coons. Celina Record
