James Funderburgh Dies Wednesday At Hospital Here


James Monroe Funderburgh retired farmer of McKinney, Route 2 passed away 
Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 pm at the City-County Hospital.

Born Feb. 10, 1876 in Arkansas he as seventy; six years of age at the time of 
his death.  He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Funderburgh.
His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gerturde Funderburgh, McKinney Route 2, 
four sons, N.D Funderburgh, J.M. Funderburgh Dallas, H ________ (probably Alva 
Kerby) Funderburgh George West; Lester Funderburgh McKinney, three daughters, 
Mrs. M. M. Leake, and Mrs. Maurine Brown, Dallas; Mrs Imogene Malone,McKinney; 
one brother Will Funderburgh, Blair; five half brothers, L. C. Funderburgh, 
Norman, John Cecil and Elmore Funderburgh, Mc Kinney; and Ed Funderburgh, 
Plano; two half sisters, Mrs. R.M. Scott and Mrs. O. A. Spurgin, McKinney; 
twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.

His parents and one sister, Mrs. Ola Dickens, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2:30 pm at the Forest Grove 
Christian Church with interment in Fitzhugh Cemetery.  Officiating ministers 
will be Rev. Don Rayford, Joe Carmen and Troy Corzine.  

Pallbearers are to be Marshal Martin, Beacher Dickens, Wade Copus, Gene 
Flesher, Bud Kerby and Jack Kerby.
