CADDO MILLS — Virginia Elmyra Farmer, 85, of Farmersville died May 13, 2008.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Rentfrow Funeral Home chapel
with Rev. D. Brent Grissom officiating. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Born Aug. 14, 1922, in the Prairie Grove Community south of Farmersville, she
was the daughter of Nelson and Virginia Howard. On July 26, 1946, she was
married to Paul Farmer in the Hendrix Community; they resided in the Caddo
Mills area until 2004. Mr. Farmer preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2006.
Longtime employee of Bethea Grocery in Caddo Mills and an accomplished
quilter, Mrs. Farmer was a member of First Assembly of God in Greenville.

Survivors are her son, James Farmer of Caddo Mills; two daughters, Faye
Bertelmann and husband James of Saginaw and Nelda Sivernell and husband Ronald
of North Richland Hills; grandchildren Jennifer Kasowicz and husband Ken of
Chicago, Ill., Meleah Bertelmann of Saginaw, and Robert Sivernell and wife
Tesa of Arlington; and two great-grandchildren, Sterling and Lila Sivernell.
