Lupe Garcia, 44, of Plano, Texas, passed away on May 10, 2008, in Plano. She
was born on Dec. 19, 1963, in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of Ignacio and
Porfiria (Ledesma) Martinez.

On Nov. 29, 1986, she married Rick Garcia in El Paso, Texas. Mrs. Garcia was a
registered nurse employed for 11 years with the Medical Center of Plano. She
was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Plano.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Rick; son, Cadet Ricky Garcia of
West Point, N.Y.; daughter, Melinda Garcia of Dallas; grandson, Ethan Rivera;
brothers, Hilario Reyes of Harlingen, Texas, Andres Reyes of Kingsland, Texas,
Rodrigo Reyes of Kyle, Texas, Ignacio Martinez of Harlingen, Texas, and
Jerardo Martinez of San Benito, Texas; and sisters, Rosa Bacon of Kingsland,
Texas, and Rafaela Tuttle of Vancouver, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at St.
Marks Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Drive in Plano.

Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.

The family will receive friends during a visitation at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the
Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
