E. “Ed” Luscombe Services for Ed Luscombe, 79, of Weston, Texas were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday January 3, in the First Baptist Church in Weston, Texas with Rev. Steve Sweeney and Rev. Clyde Moore officiating. Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery under direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors. Mr. Luscombe died Sunday, January 1 at Denton Community Hospital in Denton, Texas. He was born November 3, 1915, in Weston, texas, son of Robert Henry and Mary Connie Loftice Luscombe. He was a school teacher and a member of W.O.W. he was also a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Weston and a member of Weston City Council. Survivors include his sisters, Juanita (Sis) Mugg of Weston, Texas and Glendora Ross of Amarillo, Texas and several nieces and nephews. (From the Celina Record, January 5, 1995)
