Joan B. Harris, 74, of Greenville died early in the morning on May 20, 2008,
at her residence.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Coker-Mathews
Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Jordan officiating. Burial is in Ridgeview
Memorial Park in Allen. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today the funeral home.

The daughter of Timothy P. and Maggie Mae Cain Ball, she was born Dec. 8,
1933, in Dallas. She was married to Earle A. Harris on Feb. 6, 1953, in
Richardson.

Mrs. Harris worked in accounting for insurance and architectural firms. She
was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Royce Freeman of Eagar,
Ariz.; a brother and sister-in-law, Emmett and Winona Ball of Dallas;
grandsons Brent and Heather Swanzy of Plano and Stephen Swanzy of Dallas; two
great-grandchildren, Tristan and Hadden Swanzy of Plano; a nephew, Richard
Ball of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband in 2004.
