Thomason, 73, died Sunday at 4:27 p.m. in a McKinney, Texas hospital after several weeks of illness and a fall she sustained in which she suffered a broken hip. Funeral services for Mrs. Thomason whose home is in Celina, Texas will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. here with pastor, Rev. Bernie Pipes and Rev. W. J. Epting of Sherman officiating. Burial will be in Cottage Hill Cemetery conducted by Helms Funeral Home. Mrs. Thomason was born April 18, 1880 in DeKalb County, Tennessee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Wester. She and her husband were married August 22, 1898. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband; four sons, Cecil Thomason of Celina, Texas, Leslie Thomason of Plainview, Texas, Edwin Thomason of Dallas, Texas and Ray Thomason of Shreveport, Louisiana; two daughters, Mrs. Curtis Loftis of Celina, Texas and Mrs. W. G. Nichol of Ft. Worth, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Nan Manes of Celina, Texas, Minnie Douglas of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. George Tillerson of Tioga, Texas; two brothers, Everett and Lon Wester of Celina, Texas. Also surviving are three half brothers, Hershel Wester, Ben Wester and Paul Wester; twenty-one grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. (From the Celina Record, April 23, 1953)
