Henry, from this sorrowful earth to a heavenly home of love and peace. Sovereign Henry was born in Missouri June 20, 1866, but has resided in Texas since a mere boy. On January 24, 1884, he was happily married to Miss Maude E. Benton, and to the union were born 6 children, 2 of whom have preceded their father to the better world. Sovereign Henry was taken sick on the 20th of March 1908, which gradually developed into that dread disease, Consumption. Sovereign Henry was a true W.O.W., a kind loving father and husband, and was loved and honored by all who knew him. August 175h, 1908, he was baptized into the Christian church by Elder Wilkins. He bore his sufferings with great patience and frequently expressed a desire to die. He had no fears of death, but simply trusted in Jesus to save. His remains were accompanied to Collin County by his devoted family and sovereigns J.A. Johnson, C.M. Johnson, J.S. Eads, W.E. Bevers, D.B. Yandel and W.H. Hill, where his body was laid to rest in the Van Winkle Cemetery with Woodmen honors. ~ ~ ~ G.W. Hendrix ~ ~ ~ Rains County Leader, January 22, 1909
