CADDO MILLS — Marion Ann Holmes of Josephine left behind her earthly body and
put on a perfect body in the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2008,
in Dallas.

She was born July 30, 1948, in Greenville, the first daughter of Edward Marion
and Joan Ansley Watkins. She grew up in Nevada and graduated from Community
High School in 1966. On June 28, 1968, she married Mike Holmes of Josephine.

She worked for the Postal Service serving as postmaster in Josephine and Lavon
until her health no longer permitted her to work.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents Joe and Nina Ansley and
Jeff and Jennie Watkins and mother-in-law Mary Holmes.

She is survived by her husband of Josephine; daughters Jennifer and Amanda of
Dallas; a son, Jeff of Josephine; granddaughter Ashley Holmes; her mother of
Nevada; a sister Gaile and husband Terry of Edgewood; brothers Kenneth and
wife Latrell of Greenville, Jeffery and wife Rhonda of Allen, Phil and wife
Paula of Point and Tommy and wife Kelly of Rowlett; her father-in-law, Bill
Holmes of Rockwall; sisters-in-law Marilyn Hargrave and husband Ronnie of
Farmersville and Brenda Holmes of Josephine; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church in Josephine
with Brant O’Connor and Rickey Hargrave officiating. Burial follows in Nevada
Cemetery with Shane Watkins, Eric Watkins, Joe Watkins, Keith Watkins, Jay
Price and Randy Hargrave serving as pallbearers.

Rentfrow Funeral Home of Caddo Mills is in charge of arrangements.
