Killian One Of County's Oldest Residents One of Collin County's oldest residents passed away November 21st with the death of J.D. Killian, Sunday morning at 6 o'clock after a lingering illness of 6 months at his home. Mr. Killian was born in Polk County, Tennessee, June 24th, 1861. He was 83 years of age. He was married to Sarah E. Gill of Hiawassee College, Tennessee, May 17th 1883. They moved to Texas in 1888 and settled near Farmersville where they have lived ever since except for two years spent in Oklahoma. He left a wife and twelve children and a host of friends to mourn his passing. Those surviving him are: His wife, Sarah E. Killian and the following children, Mrs. J.W. Patterson, Mrs. M.V. Jackson, Mrs. Jessie Webb, and S.H. Killian of Farmersville; Mrs. Nettie Lingo and W.A. Killian of Dallas, Mrs. C.R. Myers of Lewisville, Texas; Mrs. J.E. Gallimore of Agua Dulce, Texas; Mrs. C.H. Webb a nd T.J Killian of Roff, Okla., and C.A Killian of San Angelo, Texas. He leaves 66 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church, Monday at 3 o'clock by Rev. M. E. Wyatt. Interment was made at the Prarie Grove Cemetery by the Crouch-Moore Funeral Home of McKinney. The pallbearers were grandsons, Will A. Patterson, J.D. Patterson, Poland Burns and Alvin Patterson of Farmersville, and T.O. Mallory and Eddie Reeves of Tyler, Texas.
