R. Tillerson, 74. Mrs. Tillerson whose home was in Alla Community, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday in a Dallas, Texas hospital following a long illness. Rev. J. T. Bledsoe pastor and Rev. Bob Layman, Baptist minister from Greenville, Texas officiated the services. Burial followed in Cottage Hill Cemetery directed by Morgan Scott Funeral Home. Mrs. Tillerson was born Jessie Jewel Flanary on November 3, 1893 in Weston, Texas, the daughter of the Late Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Flanary. Her marriage to W. R. Tillerson took place July 14, 1914. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. L. P. Cowart of Bay City, Texas, Mrs. W. E. Kinney of Hollywood, California, and Mrs. B. W. Pruitt of Dallas, Texas; one son, G. W. Tillerson of Celeste, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Floyd of Whie Heath, Illinois, Mrs. Claud Thompson of Celina, Texas and Mrs. Doyle Terrell of Anna, Texas; four brothers, Hershel Flanary of Lancaster, Texas, Clarence Flanary of Richardson, Texas, W. D. Flanary of Terrell, Texas and Byron Flanary of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (From the Celina Record October 5, 1967)
