Johnny Lloyd Luscombe, 38, were held at Weston Baptist Church Wednesday, December 26th at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Ross Bourland, pastor and Rev. Harold Mills. Burial was in Cottage Hill Cemetery directed by Crouch-Moore Funeral Home. Sgt. Luscombe died Monday at Farmers Branch, Texas. He was born February 8, 1918 in Anna, Texas, son of Robert Henry and Mary Connie Loftice Luscombe. His father was born in Collin County, Texas and his mother in Tennessee. He had been in the U.S. Army for 19 years. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Luscombe of Weston, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Juanita Bilderback of Weston, Texas; Mrs. Guy W. Riddle of Denton, Texas; and Mrs. Alvin Stoneking of Amarillo, Texas; three brothers, Ditt Luscombe of Melissa, Texas, Olin Luscombe of San Antonio, Texas and Edwin Luscombe of McKinney, Texas; five nephews and eight nieces.
