K. M. “Bob” Helms Obituary

Funeral services were held at the Weston Christian Church at 2
p.m. Wednesday for Bob Helms, 80, of Melissa, Texas who
died at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday in a McKinney, Texas hospital.  Burial
was in Cottage Hill Cemetery.  Mr. Helms was born March 31,
1878, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Helms who was a member of the
Christian Church.  He had lived most of his life in the Weston/Cottage
Hill Communities, moving to Melissa a number of years ago where
he made his home with a niece, Mrs. Dewitt Luscombe.  He had
never married.  Other survivors include a brother, T. P. Helms of
Rt. 1 Celina, Texas; Mrs. Minnie Carruth of Weston, Texas and
Mrs. Flora Chipman of Arizona.
