Plano (TX) Star Courier, 13 November 1924
James P. Langston was born March 17, 1853; Died November 11, 1924, being 71 
years, 7 months and 24 days old. He was married to Miss Nancy Bragg, February 
12, 1874. To this union was born 9 children of which only four survive. One 
sister, Mrs. R. L. Bryant, resides southeast of Plano. He was a member of the 
Baptist church and was a member of the First Baptist church of Ft. Worth at 
the time of his death.

Deceased lived at Celina with a son. He was found dead in bed. Burial took 
place at Big Springs Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Funeral services were 
conducted by the Rev. J. Ben Snider of McKinney.
